Kaiyuan Elementary School was established in 1955 and currently has 30 classes with approximately 725 students. ​The school is located in the North District of Tainan City, in a very advantageous location near Tainan Train Station ​and Tainan Bus Terminal. The socioeconomic status and educational level of the children and parents in the urban ​area are also quite high.
